Oh, you know, just another Kershaw Museum sticker auto
I've been trying to shy away from sticker autos lately, but I just couldn't resist this one. With a print run of 10 and a nice blue stripe accompanying the shiny sticker, I figured I would go for it, especially because it's one of the nicer cards I've seen in this years Topps Museum release, which is generally pretty ugly IMO. Notice the recycled photo on this card as well. Nonetheless, this is a welcome addition to my Kersh PC. Oh, and how about his 10 SO/1 ER performance today, despite the fact that he was having on "off" game?...and his 46 mph eephus pitch ruled!

ReplyDeleteIndeed he did! I'm sure you've seen the video by now too. Kershaw said that he was going to quick pitch Flowers, because he was taking too long and the ump didn't call time, but then AJ switched the signs and Kershaw didn't want to cross him up, so he just went ahead and tried it out.

Maybe it's just me, but the cards seem to get uglier by the year?! I guess that's a good thing for my wallet though. This will be my only Museum pickup other than a gold frame. Did you you notice how streaky his autos look? There is a gold frame and a silver frame listed right now, and both autos are horrendous. I'm definitely not going for either of those. Not to mention, the two "big ballers" that collect Kershaw always end up with them first. The price eventually drops big time on subsequent listings, so I think waiting it out will serve us well. Some people don't like revealing what they paid for a card, but I could care less...I wouldn't and have never spent more than 225 for a non-graded gold frame, so that should give you a good range.
DeleteThey do get worse and I actually have decided to stay away from this years release expect for a framed one of kershaw. I have watched every single one on ebay and totally agree about the streaking and i have/had no interest in any of them. Looks like u and i will be in a battle for one of them when a good copy comes up. Good luck to us
